  • Line up along the wall at Netley fronted by the Hampshire Volvo 121 Amazon in the car of Steve Woodward.
  • At the other end of the line Chris Taylor’s Metropolitan Police SEG Rover SD1 3500 V8
  • New one to the line up was John Rundle’s immaculate Surrey Police MkII Triumph 2500 TC.
  • Seems a day for firsts with the appearance of new members James Selby-Wetherley’s Metropolitan Police Rover 827. Looking good after a lot of work having been done it.
  • Sussex Police MGB GT belonging to John and Joy Parks, always draws attention.

  • Tim Smith attended to help sell NPMD pins.
  • Some of Hampshire’ latest fleet were on show including this Ford Focus Estate IRV

  • Another of the Hampshire fleet this time the imposing Ford Ranger which is part of the Rural Policing Team.

Guiness Book Record Attempt Bruntingthorpe Aerodrome - Sunday 3rd April 2019

  • Guiness Book Record Attempt Bruntingthorpe Aerodrome - Sunday 3rd April 2019
  • Closing off a private road to make traffic flow into the aerodrome easier.
  • Heading to another assignment on the aerodrome.
  • Phil Jacob’s Hampshire Constabulary Volvo 240PS running the 1 mile line of Volvo’s at #Volvo600.
  • We filmed the nearly 1 mile long, 6 a breast line and it took us 4:30 mins. The total number of cars was 1575 but awaits ratification by the Guiness Book people.
  • Then a reverse run down the runway to get back to the front of the queue. The event used anyone with a police car to help with escorting the other cars into the airfield.
  • Line up of some of the Police Volvos who had helped at the event at the tail end waiting for the official attempt to start including Phil’s Hampshire 240PS.
  • End of the day and the Police Volvo’s are at the head of the queue now ready to lead all the participants off the airfield towards the exit. Took nearly an hour and a half to clear them out. Great day out!

  • Phil’s Replica Portsmouth City Police Morris Minor Dog Van at the NEC on its transporter.
  • The Portsmouth City Morris Minor on the Minor LCV Register Stand to which it had been loaned but under the club flag.
  • Even on the Minor LCV the club board was still in evidence.

  • Club line up on set up day. Stuart & Tracey’s Derbyshire Police Granada ARV, Graeme’s Hampshire & IoW Lotus Ford Cortina and Adrian’s Wiltshire Constabulary Jaguar XJ6.
  • Reverse view of the club line up. Bit sparse but it was set up day.
  • Wiltshire Constabulary Jaguar XJ6 and Hampshire & IoW Constabulary Lotus Ford Cortina Mal II.
  • The Wiltshire Constabulary Jaguar lined up next to the Derbyshire Constabulary Ford Granada Scorpio ARV.

  • My carriage for the day Phil Jacob’s Hampshire Constabulary BMW 528i E28. Appreciate the trust Phil.
  • Row two of the club starting line up for the days display.
  • Glourious sunshine greets us as the club display was being lined up for the day. New location for us this year up near the ‘Start-Finish ’ of the famous Brooklands Racing Track.
  • A really lovely trio of an iconic Police Car. These Rover SD1 3500 V8’s. We’re the mainstay of many forces Traffic and Escort fleets. Two Met and one Lancashire on show.
  • Phil Jacob’s Hampshire Constabulary BMW 528i E28 on stand and uncovered ready for the day.
  • Nice to see Tracey and Stuart Cooke at the event with their Derbyshire Police Ford Granada Scorpio ARV.
  • A very special Metropolitan Police SEG Range Rover P38 owned by Richard Hopkins. This particular one was part of Princess Diana’s funeral escort.
  • A very nice example of a Metropolitan Police Morris Minor Panda car belonging to Mike Burgess who actually drove it in Service.
  • A new one on the scene is this beautifully restored Lancashire Constabulary Traffic Rover 3500 V8. Owned and restored by James Wade.
  • Andy Lawrence brought his original Metropolitan Police Service Rover 827. This particular vehicle is now used as a generic force TV car and has appeared in many dramas.

  • One of two Metropolitan Police Ford Sierra’s brought along by Vaughan Millard. Both ended up being sold off and both ended up being bought and used as Area Cars in the TV series ‘The Bill’
  • The second of Vaughan’s Metropolitan Police Ford Sierra’s that ended up on ‘The Bill’ but only after it had some cosmetic alterations in private hands after seeing service at Leytonstone nick.
